The Parke Heritage High School boys basketball team held their Awards Program on Friday, May 1 in the PHHS Cafetorium.
The event featured highlights of the season, as well as player awards. Senior awards were presented to Carter Kelly, Isaac Pickel and Treigh Schelsky.
The team was recognized for being Banks of the Wabash Champions, Wabash River Conference Champions, as well as Sectional, Regional, Semi-State and Class 2A State Champions.
Other recognitions included Carter Crum, Brenden Goins, Joel Miller, Isaac Pickel, and Treigh Schelsky being selected as All-Conference athletes. Schelsky was named to the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) Small School All-State team and Pickel was Honorable Mention. Crum was selected as the IBCA Underclassman All-State team.
Schelsky and Brenden Goins were featured as WTWO Athletes of the Week and Pickel was featured as a WTWO Inspiring Athlete.
Crum reached the 1000 points milestone during the season and Schelsky finished with 1892 points, which is a school record. Goins was also recognized as setting an IHSAA record for the highest three-point field goal percentage of 5-5 during the state championship game.
